Leadership that Creates Belonging

  • Suite Escape 400 East Illinois Rd LAKE FOREST United States (map)

Rev. Mtr. Jihan Murray-Smith

Join us for a thoughtful lunch conversation sharing Reverend Jihan’s story of identity, purpose, and transformational leadership.

Reverend Jihan Murray-Smith, a treasured priest at the Church of the Holy Spirit, has supported our Suite Escape mission since the beginning. We are grateful she is part of our community.

Since joining the Church of the Holy Spirit in 2019, Jihan has led with clarity and conviction in a community shaped by tradition that has not always been known for its diversity. Her journey to becoming a priest is a story of self-discovery, resilience, and stepping forward fully as herself.

At Suite Escape, we often speak about mattering, a concept illuminated by Jennifer Wallace’s research on the deep human need to feel seen, valued, and significant. Jihan’s leadership embodies this principle. She creates environments where people feel welcomed, heard, and that they truly belong.

This lunch conversation will explore:

• What it truly means to answer a calling, either personally or professionally
• Leadership anchored in identity, purpose, and lived authenticity
• Why helping women feel seen and significant is the highest expression of transformational leadership

At Suite Escape, connection builds community, education sharpens perspective, and inspiration moves us into action.
